Public Forms

Public forms are respondent-facing forms opened from published links.

Open a Public Form

A published form URL looks like:

text
https://www.kinoforms.com/f/<accessKey>

The access key is generated when a form is published.

Submit a Public Form

  1. Open the public form link.
  2. Complete required fields.
  3. Fix validation errors if shown.
  4. Submit.
  5. Confirm the thank-you screen appears.

Validation

KinoForms validates public submissions from the form schema. Required fields and other schema rules must pass before submission succeeds.

Tracking

The public runtime records:

  • Views
  • Starts
  • Submissions
  • Completion time metadata when available

This data appears in analytics.

Respondent Authentication

Forms can require respondent authentication. Depending on configuration, respondents may need to:

  • Use a magic link
  • Enter a password
  • Be assigned to a restricted form

If anonymous submissions are allowed, respondents can submit without signing in.

Branding

Public forms can display team branding, including logo, colors, typography, and footer branding.
